When do I need to order by?
Orders must be placed at least 12 hours before your pickup time, and each pickup day closes after 5 paid orders — earlier is always safer. Unavailable times simply won’t appear at checkout.
Where and when do I pick up?
All orders are porch pickup in Newport News. You choose your day and time at checkout, and the pickup address appears on the site and in your confirmation. Your box will be waiting on the porch with your name on it.
What if I’m running late?
No stress — your labeled box stays on the porch. For the freshest treats, try to arrive close to your chosen window, especially for cream pies and anything iced.
Can I get a refund?
Because every treat is baked fresh just for you, refunds aren’t offered — but if something isn’t right with your order, please reach out within 24 hours of pickup and Vera Kate will make it right.
Do you have allergen info?
Everything is baked in a home kitchen that handles wheat, dairy, eggs, soy, peanuts, and tree nuts. Care is taken to avoid cross-contact, but no treat is guaranteed to be completely allergen-free. If you have a severe allergy, please use your best judgment. Baked goods are made in a home kitchen that is not inspected by the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.

Not right now — everything is porch pickup only in Newport News, so every box is as fresh as possible.
